FOKWA

The Story So Far

Nforneh Fokwa, widely recognized by his stage name Fokwa, was born on March 6, 1993, in State College, Pennsylvania, to Cameroonian scholars. Growing up between Cameroon and the United States, Fokwa discovered his passion for rhyme and rhythm early in life, drawing inspiration from traditional Cameroonian music and Western hip-hop icons.

Despite the emphasis on academic excellence from his father, Fokwa's love for hip-hop only deepened, leading him to pursue music alongside his education. After moving back to the U.S. following his father's death in 2008, he continued to hone his craft, facing the challenges of merging his African musical roots with the Western music scene.

Fokwa's determination and creative prowess led him to found Afro Deity Records in Los Angeles, aiming to support African artists. With several projects under his belt, the most recent being "Industrial Revolution Vol. II," Fokwa remains a beacon of inspiration, advocating for faith and dedication in the pursuit of musical success.
